Heart of Texas Tractor Show & Pull

Hillsboro, TX
May 24

806 hour meter, the 806 with MFWD had 7850.7 hours

Super C.

560 Used-to-be-a-LP Turbo

M with a small block Chevy

The owner of the M, powered by a SBC, also put a Chevy and an automatic transmission in this Ford.

460

Oliver Super 88, lots of Oliver's there. They charged $15/pull

The Ford was a hoot, he only pulled it once and I wasn’t using my long lens. Looked like he was slipping about 80-90%. Lots of noise and fury. Thought he was done when he got sideways but he straightened it out and got a little over half way down the track before he lost traction.

Most of the tractors had been baking in the Texas sun since the day they left the factory.

Minneapolis-Moline UB

Wasn’t the strongest puller (The 560 turbo out pulled it), but it was the best sounding tractor pulling.

Small Block Chevy powered M.

Oliver 1900 weighted down to 25k lbs (If I remember correctly), blasted down the track in 1st gear (1.2 mph) with the 4-53 Detroit screaming.

Just little spare iron/steel hanging on the back of the Oliver 1900.

Case Something-or-Other

M-M M602 They had three woren out looking M-M's. Didn't ask if they were related to the Sixta's.

Little disappointed the 806 didn’t smoke more. My fuzzy memory remembers they smoked more back in the day.
