Levi's Graduation Reception
Jerry came to get a nap but all available beds and couches were occupied so he and Brittany used the floor.
Since I couldn't make any noise I left for Levi's reception. A quarter of mile up the 1/3 of mile long driveway.
The food table, pulled pork was the meat of the menu.
Back home a graduation reception is standard operating procedure while they are nonexistent in TX, I've been invited to 0 graduation receptions in 20 years. Can't complain too much, I do save a lot on cards/gifts. Had 250+ attendees during the four hours.
Uncle Harold chops punch, hope he washed his hands.
Decorated the garage with news of Levi's football exploits.
Brittany is my youngest cousin (left), Levi (5 days older then girls who share a birthday) and Amanda, first cousin once removed.
18 years earlier they looked like this; 3, 1, 2 is the order.
My favorite niece's mom and dad sign the guest book.
Levi manned the punch & picture table.
Marshall (another first cousin once removed) gave Levi the needle by wearing a hated Sioux Center shirt.
Miles and Addison were both happy to see me.
Carter (Addison's big brother) showing Levi the football picture he colored for Levi.
Levi's oldest sister Beth and older sister Stephenie.
Levi's mom had lots of help eating her lunch.
These two brothers would've talked Levi's to death but their big sister pestered them until moved along.
Favorite niece needed more peanuts.
Uncle Steve (Levi's dad) makes sandwich while trying to elbow his sister-in-law's head.
This lucky guy was visiting his 15th and last graduation reception of the day. Had invites for 6 more but said one has to set limits. Had 33 invites for the entire graduation "season". The price for having too many friends.
Uncle Steve explaining to nephew Blake (very directionally challenged) how to get to Uncle Dan's. Blake had gotten lost getting from Dan's to Steve's.
Opening graduation cards. Girlfriend Kally wrote down the gifts while cousin Erin opened them.
