Mexico Day 8
Three guesses which gift is from me and from dad.
Chalupas and fried bananas for breakfast. Louis arrived, to take us to church, as breakfast was being served. Odilia told him to wait (or something to that effect) so he waited, in the pickup for 35 minutes, while we ate.
My gift from Vicky.
If you need help seeing what it is, it's a sculpture of guy taking a picture of girl.
My gift was candles.
Vicky & Odilia checking out their chocolates, it was Valentine's Day.
The group shot, dad, Odilia, Vicky & me.
George put a new bulb in dead side marker while Dave #1 look on. Didn't fix it. Swapped bulbs with the working top side marker and then neither worked. Swapped the formally working bulb back to its original location. Still dead, so went from one dead side marker to two dead side markers.
Thee group shot.
Russell napping. Fernando had to go back to the border to remove the sticker from the trailer and his Suburban. Which was good because that meant there were only nine in the van.
This was interesting. A man was walking down the middle of the highway. The other cars were stopped and there were no Federalis in sight. Fernando didn't have any good ideas either.
Stopped in Saltillo to shop and this guy was selling his Valentine's wares. To bad it was too late to get Vicky a sucker.
The best part of the mercado is the second floor where they have heads on sticks. No I didn't bring any home.
Was tempted to get a XXL pinata for my favorite niece but didn't find Dora.
Took ten minutes to remove the vehicle stickers. Took 70 minutes to cross the bridge, needed to be in an outside lane. The two middle lanes were feeding four checkpoints while the outside lanes were feeding 8. We had to pull over so they could search the trailer. Luckily they didn't want to search our luggage. So after 18 minutes after getting to the US check point we could put away our passports.
