Vacation 2010 - Day 14

Friday July 9

First USA sized caravan (camper in the queen's english) I've seen and pulled by a Dodge Cummins. The English like their caravans but most are pulled by something the size of Honda Civic or Accord. When I saw a caravan in France 3 out of 4 times it was from the UK.

It was a 4 hour 235 mile drive to Imperial War Museum Duxford for Flying Legends Eve. Previous years the day before had as many planes in the air as there will be tomorrow without the crowds. This year not so much. Location

A-1 Skyraider

Talked to three guys from Holland. They said the plane count down to due to the economy and UK bureaucrats. Some UK planes did not have flight certificates because replacement parts were not OEM or equivalent which hard to come by for old war birds.

The cover of today's Daily Express was a laugher.

But the Silver Pug said the headline was true.

Drove 258 miles.
