Vacation 2007 - Day 12
October 3
Today was 90% of the reason why I wanted to visit Germany. It was a Bank Holiday so the Nürburgring was open all day for Touristenfahrten (anyone with street legal car/bike and a ticket can drive the track), but it was a foggy and nothing was happening.
Justin and Steve, two guys from the UK. We were staying at the same B&B.
The only cars on the track were the two Ring Taxis. One lap for €185 (only €61.67/passenger) and sold out for the rest of the year.
One had a 50% chance of your taxi driver being Sabine.
Walked the parking lot saw a couple C6 Corvettes...
...but nothing beats an El Camino.
At 2:30 they closed the track, it was a holiday and they did not want to wait for the fog to lift. 4:30 and the fog has lifted, they closed the track too soon. Decided to walk part of the track.
The Karussell
Leading to Hohe Acht.
Leading to Eschbach.
Then I got off the track, good thing because they let a bus make a lap.
