Rangers vs Orioles

July 7

Saturday afternoon got a call from Tony, a former coworker. Had just been given his company's tickets, did I want to come? Haven't paid for my last three Rangers tickets and this time it included a parking pass. My kind of high priced entertainment. After putting bottled water and ice in a softside cooler I was ready to go. Rangers may be a titanic struggle for last place in the AL but they still let the cheap avoid stadium pricing, my water was 83% cheaper.

The view from section 27 row 23 seat 9. It's a $45 seat, if one has season tickets.

Great seats unless one wanted to take pictures then they are not so great.

Did see a few plays at first but nothing exciting.

When Tony left I moved to the 3rd base side for the last two innings. What a pitcher on his way to 15 KOs looks like...

...and what he caused the Rangers (Sammy Sosa) to look like.

The Orioles were more successful.

Throw the ball and...

...the ball is back and the catcher isn't throwing it to second.

About to catch the last strike of the game as Bedard struck out the side, two looking and one swinging.

Final score. Rangers may have lost but making it thru a game without seeing a will-you-marry-me-moment, on the big screen, is almost as good as a win.

Wasn't the only one with a camera.

In other news the dot races have been "improved" since my last game in '05. The number laps the dots race on the big screen has been reduced from three to two.

Dot Race season standings.

The last lap human dots run down the third base line. Blue pulled up lame due to a bad hamstring.

Green won.
